Blackburn 1-0 Newcastle United – NUFC Player Ratings

Newcastle travelled to Ewood Park confident of a win yesterday, with the defeat to Owen Coyle’s men at St James’ Park still fresh in their memories.

However, despite dominating the majority of the game, having good ball possession and far more attempts than Blackburn, Newcastle saw themselves come away from the game with nothing, after having two goals disallowed.

A good free-kick from Charlie Mulgrew, saw Blackburn rewarded with what could be a vital three points in their bid to fight relegation.
