Could This Man Solve Our Creative Problems?

As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle United have been linked with Montpellier star, Ryad Boudebouz.

According to Foot Mercato, Newcastle have made an approach for the winger, who is currently out of action due to injury.

However, despite this, Rafa Benitez must see Boudebouz, who has been linked with Newcastle on several occasions over the years, as someone who can solve the creative problem that the side currently have.

Boudebouz currently boasts some impressive statistics, having scored seven goals and registered two assists in sixteen appearances this season.

According to reputable stats site WhoScored.com, Boudebouz has many attributes, including; taking set-pieces, crossing, dribbling and key passes, all of which are things that Newcastle currently appear to be lacking in.

WhoScored also say that Boudebouz likes to shoot from distance, which could explain his impressive goal return this season.

In short, Boudebouz seems to be a creative, forward thinking player, which is something that Newcastle are lacking in.

  1. Ironically Newcastle United’s most creative player is still in the U18s. In, Mackenzie Heaney they have a young player who can play anywhere across the front but is most useful in the number 10 role. Having represented Newcastle at U16, U18, U23 and England at U17, U18 he has played 102 games with 34 goals and 57 assists. Hopefully Rafa and his team can recognise his potential and get him to the first team ASAP.
