NUFC Make Approach For Liverpool Midfielder – But They Will Have Their Work Cut Out To Get Him

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Newcastle United are one of many clubs who have had an approach for Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart rejected.

Newcastle, like Swansea City, West Brom, Brighton and Aston Villa, were rumoured have expressed an interest in the 23-year-old Liverpool midfielder.

It may seem unusual for a club to reject such an approach for a player who does not get regular playing time but Stewart is reportedly seen by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, as the perfect squad player.

The German manager has been quick to praise Stewart and is rumoured to be impressed with the young players attitude and level of training.

Klopp is so keen on Stewart that he even rejected a £6million bid for him in the summer, meaning that Newcastle, or any other suitors will most certainly have to overpay if they are to get Klopp to part with Stewart, who has already made 18 appearances since Klopp took charge of Liverpool.
