What Did Paul Dummett Make Of The Blackburn Game

As reported by the Chronicle, Paul Dummett has spoken, following his 100th game for Newcastle, which ended in a 1-0 defeat away to Blackburn.

When asked about the game, Dummett said: “The performance was really good – we’ve had a lot of chances and dominated the game and we haven’t got the result we deserved, but that’s football.

“You’ve got to take your chances when you get them and finish teams off. Credit to them, in the end they scored the free kick, but we’ve just got to keep on going for the rest of the season, keep putting in performances like that and we’ll win more games than we’ll lose.

“It’s very frustrating. The manager just said we’ve got to be positive, as we dominated the game. It’s disappointing, and coming here away is a tough place to come, but we’ve just got to take our chances when we get them and finish teams off. We’ve struggled a few times I think in a few of the games where we’ve had the same situation, and we just need to finish things off when we get the chances.
