As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle United and Rafa Benitez are far more likely to make a move for players in the loan market, than they are in the permanent transfer market, this January.
Despite having no shortage of money, it is rumoured that Rafa Benitez may not make a permanent transfer this January. Instead, he is set to look at loan moves for players who are struggling for regular playing time at Premier League clubs.
Benitez did this with great success in the summer, bringing in Christian Atsu from Chelsea, who has added pace, flair and trickery to the Newcastle midfield, even chipping in with the odd goal, despite not always starting.
In recent weeks there has been much talk of a move for Everton’s Tom Cleverley, who has been struggling to get a starting place in the Everton side, despite his credentials as a former England international midfielder.
