As reported by the Nottingham Post, Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest star, Ben Osborn.
The 22-year-old has been one of the very few bright sparks for Forest in recent years but could be available for around the £4million mark.
It was reported by The Daily Telegraph that Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is a fan of Osborn and could be set to bid the required £4million in order to secure his services.
However, there is no guarantee that Forest will accept the £4million for Osborn, as the young star signed a new deal in August that could potentially see him at the City Ground until 2020, giving Forest the bargaining power in any potential deal.
If a deal is struck, then Osborn should be able to slot into the United side without much difficulty. Having played in 27 games for Forest this season, he should be fit and sharp enough to add some much needed creativity to the Newcastle side.
