Will Newcastle Have Someone Signed Before Their Game Against Brentford? Rafa Answers

As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has spoken about the possibility of Newcastle United bringing in players before their game against Brentford.

When asked about the possibility of new players, Benitez said: “Now we have to continue searching for something different, ones who can give us the balance that everybody is talking about.

“There is no rush, but at the same time, we want to get the deals done as soon as possible.

Benitez also explains the reason for recalling Sammy Ameobi from Bolton, adding: “We brought back Sammy Ameobi because we knew we were losing players and we would be difficult to do business early in January.

Although he clearly remains confident of doing some business, claiming: “Hopefully, we can do it before Brentford but you never know.

“Sometimes you start talking with clubs and it takes time.

“We are working hard and trying to find some players.”
