As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle youngster Jamie Sterry is refusing to rule out the possibility of a loan move back to Coventry.
Asked about his return to the Newcastle squad, Sterry said: “It’s been a while, but I’ve worked hard,”
“Obviously the loan’s helped with my confidence and it was good to get back in the team. I’d warmed up a few times, and I was ready to go.”
“I was ready for the last game [against Brentford], but it was a bit tighter. It was good to get a run-out, especially at home.
“I’d have loved to have started the Birmingham game but unfortunately I was cup-tied.
Sterry also spoke about the possibility of another loan move this window, adding: “I’ll just keep working hard and see what happens.
“I’d like to stay here, and hopefully get some games, but I’ll wait and see. It’s up to the manager.
“I’ve got a lot of games under my belt, and it’s good for the manager to know I’ve got that experience in League One.”
