DeAndre Yedlin has had a mixed start to life as a Newcastle player, but he is now showing his best football.
Yedlin arrived in the summer from Tottenham and was immediately taken to by many of the Newcastle supporters.
The fans seem to enjoy his all-action, passionate style of play and his pace has so far managed to get him out of most of the mistakes that he has made.
Yedlin is undoubtedly a better attacker than he is defender, with his first thought always being to go forward.
This is not really a bad thing, it is just something that is more suited against teams that you expect to beat.
This was highlighted by Yedlin’s brilliant performance against Rotherham United, last week.
He excells when he knows that he will not be tested as much defensively, meaning that he can concentrate on the best aspect of his game, attacking.
If Yedlin is selected to play today, then I think we can expect another starring role.
