As reported by the Chronicle, Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez has revealed what he and his players “talked about” at half time.”
Speaking after his side came from two goals down to draw with City, Benitez was honest enough to admit: “At half-time it wasn’t the best.
“At the end of the game it was much better.
“They realised their reaction was really good but also we have the feeling we have lost two points.
“We created enough chances to win the game.”
“I have said recently sometimes you can make mistakes.
As ever, Benitez was also prepared to look forward, adding: “You just have to analyse what went wrong and don’t do it again.
“It was a difficult situation for everyone.
“So at half-time we were talking about that.
“The reaction of the players was fantastic.”
