Has Rafa Dropped A Hint At His Team Selection Tonight?

As reported by the Chronicle, Rafa Benitez has dropped a hint that he may choose to select some of his more experienced players for the game against Brighton tonight.

Ahead of the game, Benitez said of Brighton:  “We have to give everything, stay calm and not mistakes. Brighton have a lot of experience and a manager who has experience of the Championship. They have some good players and they know what is going on in this division.

Benitez then went on to drop the hint regarding experience, adding: “It is better if you have players with that experience. They have to play the situation. I can tell them, but they have to go out and do it. It’s important I stay calm and analyse, but you have to have the players. Brighton have players who have that experience in the Championship.”

However, Benitez does not seem to think that Brighton should be clear favourites for the game, saying: “It is not easy to say that. They are playing at home and that gives them a small advantage, but in terms of the levels of the two teams, I don’t think one has an advantage.
