It has been revealed this morning that Jamaal Lascelles has been playing through the pain barrier over the past four months, with the NUFC skipper set to finally undergo a double hernia operation today.
Last weeks win over Preston was his 47th game of the season and looks to be his last this term after a specialist advised him to take immediate action on the injury.
He is set to undergo the operation today, which will see him ruled out of the final game of the season against Barnsley on Sunday.
It is admirable that Jamaal has continued on for so long given the pain that often comes with double hernia’s. It is said that the specialist was shocked that the he had playing with the injury for so long.
Lascelles has had his doubters this year and I must admit that I have concerns over his ability to be a regular starter next year, but his commitment and temperament is admirable and something you cannot question.
This is the sort of fight and grit we’ve missed at Newcastle over the years. Those who slate him should be careful what they wish for.
One can only hope mike Ashley wants a premier football team not a plaything for an excuse for having a couple of pints on a Saturday afternoon with the lads

Also depending on where there are also good and bad people can not compare such limping, I have a friend who loves his wife and brutal family. I also feel that it is not equal to that person, according to me, I think the love story you decide to go offline do not ask, you are online so I feel that you do not deserve a true love! tomorrow, this road is right or wrong, I decided not to regret it, but online, I asked for it, I regret it all over the hill, giving you a song
