Newcastle United home kit for the 2017/18 season leaked on social media – photo

A picture has emerged online today, leaking what appears to be Newcastle United’s new home kit for the 2017/18 season.

The club are yet to unveil the new kit, with fans awaiting official confirmation, however many have been left underwhelmed by the rumoured new kit that has been all over social media this morning:

As you can see, Dwight Gayle appears to have been pictured donning the new kit, which not only boasts a new sponsor, but the 125th year anniversary crest.

The infamous Wonga is no more, being replaced by Chinese betting firm “Fun88”, if these images are to be believed.

It was announced last month that Newcastle had struck a ‘big money’ sponsorship deal with a Chinese betting firm. This certainly fits the criteria, but it remains to be seen as to whether this is the official kit.

Personally, i’m not a big fan. I like the shirt itself, but the bright and tacky looking sponsor lets it down.

A bit of an anti-climax after we all got excited about our big new sponsors and 125th year anniversary kit? Time will tell!
