Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is ‘on the radar’ of Newcastle United this summer, according to reports in Belgium.
The 23-year-old striker, previously scouted by NUFC during his time with Marseille, has been a fringe player for the Premier League champions this season and could be loaned out this summer.
After joining Chelsea for £33m last summer, he’s struggled for game time, starting just once in the league all season. Batshuayi has made an impact in the final weeks of the season however, scoring 4 times in the final 3 games of Chelsea’s Premier League winning campaign.
Monaco are one of the teams considering Michy Batshuayi. Also West Ham and Newcastle have him on the radar. #cfc #whufc #nufc https://t.co/KRcTnAdS6s

I’m sure Rafa Benitez would love to do a deal with his former club to have the promising Belgian on loan at St. James’ Park next season, but I struggle to see this one materialising.
With no end of clubs likely to be interested this summer (should he be made available), a move to a newly promoted side is unlikely to be his best offer.
