Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:
- Portuguese report ‘O Jogo’ claim Newcastle United are interested in Euro 2016 star William Carvalho – the Sporting Lisbon midfielder is believed to have a £39m release clause!
- Tim Krul, currently on loan at AZ Alkmaar, has admitted he is looking forward return to Newcastle for Pre-season in July.
- Newcastle have been given permission to hold talks with Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham ahead of a possible loan deal (The Telegraph)
- The Chronicle claim Rafa Benitez is looking to add between 7-12 new players to his squad this summer, with the club expected to be ‘extremely busy’ over the coming months.
- NUFC have been credited with interest in Sporting Lisbon centre back Ruben Semedo once again. Portuguese paper ‘Record’ claim the highly-rated defender could be available for as little as £13m this summer.
- It is believed that Jermaine Defoe will earn £130,000 per week at Bournemouth after agreeing a three-year-deal with the club – you can see why Newcastle avoided that one now. Wages plus his signing on fee are believed to be earning him £20m. Hardly a ‘freebie’! (The Guardian)
