Newcastle United have announced TWO pre-season friendly’s over the last 24 hours, with the club confirming away trips to face Championship side Preston North-End and League One’s Bradford City and next month.
Preston will be first up for the Mags, seeing Rafa’s men travel to Deepdale on Saturday, 22nd July for a 3pm kick-off. Simon Grayson’s side finished in a respectable 11th place in the Championship last season and were of course the team we beat 4-1 at St. James’ Park to clinch promotion back in April.
Next up, on the following Wednesday (26th July), will be Bradford City – a side who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Championship after a 1-0 defeat to Millwall in the League One play-off final last month. The match at Valley Parade will kick off at 7.30pm.
Over the coming days Newcastle are expected to announce further pre-season friendlies in the UK and in Europe, as well as a home game on the first weekend of August.
