Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 19/06/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • An exclusive story from Turkey claims that NUFC are in ‘advanced talks’ to sign Porto striker Vincent Aboubakar and look set to beat Besiktas to his signature (Futbol Arena)
  • Torino midfielder Afriyie Acquah previously linked to NUFC this summer, claims a move to a Premier League side is “90% complete”, and has recently followed @NUFC on twitter, fuelling rumours of a move to Newcastle.
  • Florian Lejeune is eager to complete a move to Newcastle according to The Chronicle, and a £8.7m deal to bring the Eibar centre-back to Tyneside could be completed in the coming days.

  • Swansea Chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted that they have joined Brighton and Newcastle in the battle to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan (BBC)
  • Newcastle have missed out on the signing of Nicolas Pepe, with the Angers winger currently undergoing a medical with Lille (Northern Echo)
  • Rafa Benitez has made a move to sign Argentine goalkeeper Willy Caballero, but the Manchester City stopper could favour a move to Chelsea as he is keen to live in London (The Chronicle)
  • Matz Sels looks set to leave the club to join Belgian champions Anderlecht on a season-long-loan (The Mirror)
  • SPL side Hearts are looking to sign 6ft 4 Newcastle striker Tom Heardman on loan next season (The Chronicle)
