Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 27/06/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • Daryl Murphy is being lined up for a shock summer move to Sunderland, with the Irishman having been told he is free to leave the club this summer (The Chronicle).
  • NUFC editor Mark Douglas has suggested in a podcast for The Chronicle that Joe Hart would ‘jump at the chance’ to join NUFC, also saying that Michy Batshuayi is one to watch for Newcastle fans this summer.
  • The Shields Gazette have revealed that Mike Ashley is pushing Lee Charnley to get deals done at Newcastle United and has made it known that he stands firm on his pledge to back Rafa Benitez this summer.

  • Portuguese reports claim NUFC are close to agreeing a fee with Benfica for Greek midfielder Andreas Samaris (O’jogo).
  • Everton have won the race to sign rumoured NUFC target Henry Onyekuru – the 20-year-old wonder-kid who scored 24 goals in Belgium last season (Sky Sports).
  • Newcastle are set to send Adam Armstrong out on loan again for the first half of next season (The Chronicle)
