Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 28/06/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • The Florian Lejeune saga continues to drag on, however Spanish media have confirmed today that the centre-back’s move from Eibar to Newcastle United should be completed in a ‘matter of days’.
  • Former Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has ruled out a reunion with Rafa Benitez this summer, stating he is happy at Fenerbahce.
  • Ligue 1 side Montpellier are interested in signing Tim Krul this summer according to The Chronicle. Given NUFC’s interest in their star midfielder Ryad Boudebouz, a potential part-exchange deal may not be out of the question.

  • Newcastle are still waiting on a decision from Yoann Gouffran after offering the out of contract midfielder an extension at the club (The Chronicle)
  • Newcastle United are at the front of the queue to sign Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo on loan for next season (The Independent).
  • Portuguese reports have linked Newcastle with £26m DOUBLE swoop for Benfica midfielder Andreas Samaris and defender Lisandro Lopez.
