- Newcastle have announced the £8.7m signing of Florian Lejeune from Eibar – the French centre-back has joined the Magpies on a fiver-year-deal (NUFC official)
- The Guardian state that newcastle have made recent enquiries for for Hull City’s Kamil Grosicki and Tom Huddlestone, Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs and Calum Chambers, Burnley’s Andre Gray, Villarreal’s Cédric Bakambu and Manchester City’s Joe Hart.
- Mark Douglas, NUFC’s editor for The Chronicle, has revealed that Newcastle are in ‘fairly advanced talks’ for TWO players, with offers also on the table for a ‘creative midfielder’ as well as enquiries being made for a clutch of wingers.
- It is being claimed that the representatives of Norwich City’s Jacob Murphy could be on their way to Newcastle to discuss a potential deal for the England-U21 winger today after a suggestive picture was leaked by the players entourage (New Era Global Sports Snaphact)
- Hull City will not stand in the way of Kamil Grosicki, with Newcastle believed to be leading the race for the Polish winger believed to have a £9m buy-out clause in his contract (Hull Daily Mail)
- Highly-rated Newcastle United youngster Sean Longstaff, who spent last season on loan at Kilmarnock, has signed a new two-year-deal with the club and could now head out on loan once again (The Chronicle)
- Previous NUFC loan-target Tammy Abraham has officially joined Swansea on a season-long loan deal (Swansea official)
