Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 13/07/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • There has been a BIG development over Jacob Murphy’s potential move to Newcastle United today, with NUFC representatives having met with Norwich officials after the winger has made it clear to his agent he wants to join Newcastle – NUFC will have to pay over £10m to get their man, however  (The Chronicle).
  • The Northern Echo have revealed today that Bordeaux striker Diego Rolan is the latest player to have come onto Benitez’s radar, claiming we could be ready for hijack his potential £8.8m move to Fulham.
  •  Yoan Gouffran looks set to turn down the new deal offered by Newcastle in favour of a move to Turkish league side Goztepe SK after their President confirmed talks are going well (The Chronicle)

  • Joe Hart looks set to join West Ham on a season long-loan – Benitez had made enquiries but was put off due to high wage demands and some bad reviews during his time in Italy (Daily Mail)
  • The Daily Mail do, however, claim that Rafa Benitez has spoken directly to City’s Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain over deals for Kelechi Ihenacho.
  • PSG goalkeeper Alphonse Areola has arrived in London to discuss proposals from several Premier League clubs just days after The Chronicle confirmed Newcastle’s interest in the French stopper.
  • Cedric Bakambu has signed a new deal with Villareal, all but ending Newcastle’s hopes of signing the Congolese striker.
