Newcastle are believed to be one of four clubs preparing a move for West Ham winger Robert Snodgrass, with Rafa Benitez joining Brighton, Norwich and Leeds in the race for his signature according to Football London this morning.
Snodrgass joined The Hammers from Hull in a £10m deal this January, however has failed to settle at the Olympic Stadium and could be set for an early exit this summer.
The Scottish International enjoyed a sparkling start to the season at Hull last year, with his 7 goals and 3 assists in their first 19 Premier League games earning him a big money move to West Ham.
It hasn’t quite worked out for him in London however, and West Ham could be ready to cash in on him, with the club expected to announce the arrival of Stoke’s Marko Arnautovic in the coming days.
Snodgrass is more than capable technically, being deadly from dead ball situations, however he does turn 30 in September and that, combined with his dip in form, makes me wonder if he is a player whose best days are behind him.
Time will tell, but i’m not convinced we should or will pursue this one.
WE WILL.? They both ѕhouted aand thdy ran to the bed
