Big development in Lucas Perez's potential move from Arsenal to Newcastle
Newcastle's interest in signing Arsenal's Lucas Perez was confirmed yesterday and, since then, The Chronicle have revealed that the Spaniard is 'ready to talk' to Rafa Benitez over a potential move to Tyneside.
Arsenal are believed to have slapped a £13.4m price-tag on the want-away forward just 12 months on from his £17m arrival from Spain, and whilst it is a huge boost that Perez is receptive to a potential move to the North-East, it can only happen if an acceptable offer is placed.

In this day and age, £13m appears to be peanuts for a player of Perez's ilk - even if he does turn 29 in September.
Despite failing to nail down a regular spot in Arsene Wenger's side last season, he still mustered an impressive 7 goals and 5 assists in 9 starts, backed up by an emphatic tally of 17 goals and 8 assists during the 2015/16 La Liga season with Deportivo.
With strikers hard to come by and the market so inflated, Newcastle would be wise to jump on this one - especially after positive noises that Perez would be open to a move to St. James' Park.
While we wait to see if Charnley and co. can get this one done, here's some clips of him in action:
