French midfielder posts intriguing message on social media, claiming he’ll return to NUFC ‘one day’

Former Newcastle United prospect and current Lyon midfielder Olivier Kemen has taken to social media and sent an interesting message to NUFC fans, claiming on his personal Instagram account that he misses Newcastle and will return to the club ‘one day’.

The central midfielder, now 21, arrived on Tyneside as a 16 year old from Metz, being a player tipped for big things in France having been capped at every international level from U-16 to U-20 – also captaining the U-19’s.

He gained admirers in action for the NUFC second string and in the summer of 2015 was snapped up by French giants Lyon for £550,000.

Since then he has scored 6 goals in 27 appearances in the Lyon B team and has made 4 appearances for the first team. He was then loaned out to Ligue 2 side Ajaccio last season to gain some valuable playing time, scoring 4 goals in 16 matches.

He was highly rated on Tyneside and has been gaining plaudits in France, so this one may just be one to watch given Benitez’s clear plan to improve the youth underbelly of his Newcastle Unite squad.
