Transfer talk – a round up of today’s NUFC transfer gossip – 11/08/2017

Today’s round up of all NUFC related transfer talk:

  • The Mirror claim Newcastle are battling it out with West Ham for the signing of Brentford star Jota – the Spanish playmaker who got 12 goals and 5 assists in just 21 games last season.
  • Mike Ashley has admitted in an interview on Sky Sports News that it’s impossible to give Rafa Benitez enough money to compete with the biggest clubs.
  • Benfica are willing to pay approximately €5m for up-for-sale goalkeeper Tim Krul (A Bola).

  • FL Wolfsburg centre midfielder Joshua Guilavogui is being courted by courted by Newcastle and has a  £13.7m price tag according to German reports [BILD].
  • Deportivo’s coach has admitted ‘We can’t afford €12m for Lucas Perez‘, giving NUFC fresh hope of signing the Arsenal striker this summer.
  • Olanweraju Kayode, the top scorer in the Austrian league, is set to join NUFC  in a “matter of days”. He was part of assistant coach Mikel Antia’s Aspire Academy (Score Nigeria)
