According to reports from the Chronicle, Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez is looking to capture the services of Joselu and Kenedy within the next few days.
Newcastle United endured a very disappointing 2-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park on Sunday and to add insult to injury, manager Rafael Benitez will most likely be without the services of the injured duo of Paul Dummett and Florian Lejeune as well as the suspended Jonjo Shelvey for the upcoming fixture against Huddersfield Town.
With the squad very thin at the moment, Benitez will surely be looking to bring in a few more new faces to St. James Park in the coming days and according to reports from the Chronicle, it has been claimed that the Spaniard is looking to acquire the services of Joselu and Kenedy as soon as possible.
Talks to sign Joselu from Stoke City and Chelsea’s Kenedy have been going on for quite a while now and it is believed that Benitez will look to put pressure on the club’s board to get him the two players at St. James’ Park in the next few days in time for the clash against Huddersfield.
When asked about reinforcements after the Tottenham game, Benitez said, “The situation is the same as we had before the game, so it doesn’t change too much. We knew what we needed and we know what we need.”
