According to reports from the Daily Record, West Ham United attacker Robert Snodgrass wants to join Newcastle United.
Robert Snodgrass was brought in by West Ham United from Hull City for around £10million during the January transfer window last season and the Scottish international was widely viewed as a potential replacement for Dimitri Payet.
However, Snodgrass never really came close to replacing Payet after failing to make in impact in his 15 appearances for the club and the 29-year-old has now been told by the Hammers that he is free to leave during the final week of the summer transfer window.
Despite his struggles, Snodgrass is attracting the interest from a number of clubs and reports have claimed that the duo of Newcastle United and Leeds United are battling it out to sign the set piece specialist.
Now in a huge boost to Newcastle’s hopes of signing Snodgrass, revelations from the Daily Record can be made that the player is keen on remaining in the Premier League and prefers a move to Newcastle over Leeds.
