According to reports from Football Italia, Inter Milan attacker Stevan Jovetic has rejected the chance to join Newcastle United.
Newcastle United have been linked with a plethora of attacking players this summer and one name who would surely have excited the club faithful is Stevan Jovetic.
Reports had emerged recently that Newcastle were keen on signing the Premier League winner from Inter Milan this summer and that the Magpies would only have to pay a modest fee of around £13million to acquire him.
With Jovetic surplus to requirements at Inter, it did look like Newcastle stood a realistic chance to sign the Montenegro international but reports from Football Italia claim that the 27-year-old is not keen on a move to St. James’ Park.
The former Manchester City man spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla and it is believed that he wants to sign for the Spanish side on a permanent basis this summer rather than make a move back to England with Newcastle.
