According to reports from Sky Sports, Newcastle United will be facing competition from Monaco in the race to sign Inter Milan striker Stevan Jovetic.
Newcastle United’s need to sign a new striker this summer has been well documented and the Magpies have recently been linked with an ambitious swoop for Inter Milan striker Stevan Jovetic.
Jovetic is currently unwanted at Inter and as a result, Newcastle United are said to be hopeful of acquiring the services of the 27-year-old before the end of the summer transfer window in a couple of days’ time.
While Jovetic has been made available for a transfer by Inter, signing him will not prove to be an easy task for Newcastle as reports from Sky Sports have gone on to claim that even French champions Monaco are interested in signing the former Manchester City star.
Monaco are said to be looking to land a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who looks set to join PSG on a season-long loan deal and they will be competing against Newcastle in the race for Jovetic over the next few days.
