Newcastle United are looking to finalize the sales of Grant Hanley and Jack Colback within the next few days, according to reports from the Chronicle.
While a lot of talk has been dominated in recent times regarding Newcastle United’s potential signings during the final days of the summer transfer window, manager Rafael Benitez is also desperate to get rid of a host of names in order to reduce the wage bill at St. James’ Park.
Grant Hanley and Jack Colback have been widely reported as being among the many players Benitez is currently looking to offload and as reported by the Chronicle, the Magpies could finalize the sale of the duo within the next day or so.
Hanley is currently wanted by Norwich City and the transfer is certain to be completed soon while Colback is attracting the interest from Hull City but it remains to be seen as to whether the Magpies can offload the midfielder.
Hanley failed to impress at Newcastle following his £5.5million move from Blackburn Rovers last summer while Colback is said to have fallen out with Benitez following a bust-up and the departure of the duo will surely be welcomed by the Magpies’ faithful.
