NUFC news – today’s round-up of all things Newcastle United – 08/09/2017

A round up of all of today’s NUFC related news and gossip:

  • Despite talk that Benitez would make this weekend’s game at Swansea, the NUFC boss has missed today’s pre-conference and is now rated as a doubt to be on the touchline on Sunday.
  • According to NUFC assistant Paco Moreno, Chancel Mbemba’s injury sustained on international duty may not be as bad as first feared – however the stand-in left-back will miss Swansea.
  • Aleksandar Mitrovic has commented on his incident with West Ham’s Manuel Lanzini,  insisting he did ‘nothing wrong’ and does not understand why he has been punished, claiming it was not even a foul.
