Local report reveals SIX players who could leave NUFC in the January transfer window

The Chronicle wrote an article this week assessing how Newcastle look set to approach the January transfer window, revealing SIX players who could leave the club this winter.

The first two mentioned are strikers Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic. It is stated that the club are now ‘receptive’ to offers for the pair, providing the transfer fee is fair and that a replacement is lined up. They admit that the sale of both seems highly unlikely, but one of them could well make way this winter to enable Benitez to bring in another striker.

Then comes Chancel Mbemba. The Chronicle have stated this week that he is another player who is ‘is yet to convince Benitez that he has a long-term future at United’ and could be sold if an acceptable offers and replacement arrives at Rafa’s door. This is one I think I and many other fans would be disappointed with, but we have to trust Rafa’s judgement?

Jack Colback next, which comes as no surprise given he’s been banished from the first team squad in recent months and has no future on Tyneside, whilst the report also states Karl Darlow is likely to leave if Benitez manages to land a goalkeeper in January.

Finally, fellow goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is believed to be ‘itching’ for first team football, so he too could leave, albeit on loan.

Thoughts on these? Any you’d be happy to sell or prefer to keep?
