Saturday’s game saw another superb flag display put on in the Gallowgate and club captain Jamaal Lascelles has admitted just how ‘honoured’ he feels for the NUFC fans to make a flag of him.
Lascelles is a fierce competitor, humble bloke and hard worker and this flag is a brilliant show of affection from the fans for a man who epitomises everything we love about our club at the moment.
The skipper was a rock at the back once again on Saturday and here’s what he’s had to say about his flag in the Gallowgate following the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace:

This shows just how taken aback Jamaal was by the fans’ ‘serious’ gesture to make a flag of him. It shows how highly though of he is at the club and rightly so.
Also a nice touch to thank the fans for voting for him to win the player of the month award for September – an award he stresses could have been won by so many players. A real team player and a guy who really does ‘get it’ when it comes to NUFC.
