TEAM NEWS – Rafa makes FIVE changes & some huge calls in his NUFC team to play West Brom tonight

The teams are out for tonight’s 8pm kick off at The Hawthorns and Rafa Benitez has made FIVE changes from the side that lost 3-0 against Watford on Saturday:

OUT – Elliot, Manquillo, Shelvey, Diame, Gayle

IN –  Darlow, Mbemba, Merino, Hayden, Perez

Here’s the full team we’ll see line-up at West Brom.

Newcastle United XI – (4-2-3-1) – Darlow – Yedlin, Lejeune, Clark, Mbemba – Hayden, Merino – Ritchie, Perez , Murphy – Joselu.  (Subs: Elliot, Manquillo, Shelvey, Diame, Aarons, Gayle, Mitrovic)

  • Back to 4-2-3-1
  • Shelvey dropped – Merino & Hayden in the middle
  • Darlow in for Elliot
  • Joselu keeps his place – Mitrovic on the bench
  • Mbemba back in at left-back for Manquillo
  • Gayle benched – Perez returns in the no.10 role

West Brom XI (4-4-2): Foster; Nyom, Hegazi, Evans, Gibbs; Phillips, Livermore, Barry, Field; Robson-Kanu, Rondon.

  1. On Saturdays performance none of those dropped can have any complaints. Ritchie and Clark can consider themselves lucky

After the performances over the last few games some players deserve to drop dwn to the bench but likes of jeslu wants to be lucky he is starting needs to be more lethal in front of goal Elliott has had a drop in confidence lately but still number 1 out of him and darlow hopefully get a early goal and it will settle the nerves
