It seems a battling point at West Brom wasn’t good enough for the travelling NUFC fans, with the away supporters chanting “You’re getting Pardewed in the morning” at the Baggies fans following news that the former NUFC boss will be appointed as their manager.
After being out of the game for almost a year after being sacked by Palace in December 2016, the BBC confirmed soon after the full time whistle that Pardew will be appointed as West Brom’s manager the morning, with him expected to sign a deal up until 2020.
It didn’t take long for this news to filter into the travelling Toon Army inside The Hawthorns, with The Chronicle’s NUFC reporter sharing their brilliant chant on Twitter after the game:
#nufc fans singing: "You're getting Pardewed in the morning"…

Ironically, Pardew’s first game in charge of West Brom looks set to be against former club Crystal Palace at The Hawthorns on Saturday – meaning he could’ve faced two of his ex-teams on the spin if he’d made it in time for our 2-2 draw with the Baggies on Tuesday.
An ‘interesting’ appointment and yet another big contract for Pards. Let’s see how he does..
The man wins 6 games in a calendar year and gets another job in the Prem.
I just don’t get it? https://t.co/Bc6QiH2Glg
