The Chronicle reveal FIVE players NUFC will ‘listen to offers’ for as Rafa plans January ‘clear-out’

According to the Chronicle this morning, Rafa Benitez is planning a clear out at NUFC next month, with the club set to ‘listen to offers’ for Mo Diame, Rolando Aarons, Jack Colback, Henri Saivet and Massaido Haidara.

This also comes after news that Aleksandar Mitrovic and Chancel Mbemba could be cashed in on if acceptable offers arrive next month.

In fairness, most of the five players mentioned in the Chronicle today have barely featured in the first team this season, however I imagine there’d be some unrest within groups of NUFC fans if Rolando Aarons was sold.

He’s never lived up to his early promise at NUFC due to constant injuries, but there’d be a feeling of regret if he left and went on to show what he’s capable of at pastures new. He’s clearly got something, we just haven’t had the chance to see it anywhere near enough.

Here’s a snipper from the story from the Chronicle today, confirming the five players who could well leave next month if the right offer arrives:

“Newcastle will listen to offers for Henri Saivet , Mo Diame, Massadio Haidara, Jack Colback and Rolando Aarons.

The story also reveals that a clutch of NUFC youngsters are also set be loaned out in a bit to earn some much needed senior first-team football:

“They are also expected to loan out Freddie Woodman and Jamie Sterry in January, while news of Alex Gillead’s next career step is expected soon with the talented youngster spending the first half of the season with Bradford City.”

This is especially necessary for Freddie Woodman. Our brightest young talent and someone whose recently been playing for England U-21’s shouldn’t be settling for U-23 football in the Premier League 2. Mess him about much more and we’d risk losing him if you ask me.

Let us know your thoughts folks – would you be happy to sell this lot?
