Yet another Premier League sacking to report towards the bottom of the table as Stoke have parted company with Mark Hughes following their FA Cup defeat to League One Coventry today.
Given today’s dire result and their woeful league form of late, this one has looked on the cards for a few weeks now – and Ayoze Pere’z late winner at the Bet365 stadium on Monday won’t have helped his cause!

Stoke currently sit third bottom of the Premier League on 20 pts after just two wins in 12 in the league and they will now be tasked with finding a replacement to save them from relegation. Koeman, Bilic, Giggs, O’Neil and Mancini have been tipped as potential replacements.
That’s now SEVEN managers sacked so far this season.
- De Boer – Crystal Palace (IN – Hodgson)
- Koeman – Everton (IN – Allardyce)
- Shakespeare – Leicester (IN – Puel)
- Bilic – West Ham (IN – Moyes)
- Pulis – West Brom (IN – Pardew)
- Clement – Swansea (IN – Carvahal)
- Hughes – Stoke (IN – ???)
Mark Hughes sacked by Stoke. The fifth manager of a bottom ten club to lose his job this season. Only #nufc, Brighton, Huddersfield, Southampton and Bournemouth have kept faith.
