So, it emerged late last night that Feyenoord’s Nicolai Jorgensen was the unnamed striker in talks with Newcastle over a potential club record move to St James’ Park. It remains to be seen if we’ll pay the alleged £20m asking price, but talks are said to be very much ongoing.
After all the names that have been thrown around in the last few days, it’s fair the say his name was not one mentioned by us NUFC fans – despite him boasting a pretty impressive goal record in the Dutch league in recent seasons.
With this in mind, we’ve done some Denis Wise scouting and picked out a few good compilations of the 6ft 3′ Danish international in action, showing some of his goals, assists and general play during his last 18 months with the current Eredivisie title holders:
It’s not hard for someone to look good on Youtube, but there’s some really clever pieces of play here along with several poachers goals. He looks like a bit of an all-rounder at first glance.
