Our North-East rivals down the road confirmed the free transfer signing of former Newcastle winger Kazenga Lua-Lua last night – the man who tweeted ‘I hate Sunderland’ just a few years ago!
The former Brighton winger had his contract cancelled with immediate effect, allowing him to make a free-transfer move to the cash strapped Mackems last night.
It didn’t take NUFC fans long to find a tweet of his from 2014 however, with him stating ‘#IHATESUNDERLAND’ – a comment that’s come back to bite him somewhat!
As a former Mag with an uncle who spent 4 years on Tyneside (Lomana Lua Lua!), it’s perhaps standard procedure to have a dislike for the Mackems, but this old post on social media has come back to haunt him following confirmation of his move to Wearside.
Here’s some of the reaction from NUFC fans online and from the man himself – priceless!
2014: #IHATESUNDERLND
2018: Signs for them..
