It’s a frantic day and it really shouldn’t have come to this, but the Times’ George Caulkin has offered a promising transfer update for NUFC fans this morning, confirming that Rafa is now pushing through TWO loan deals – one from the Premier League and one from abroad.
It’s been an exhausting week, with deals for Jorgensen and Sturridge failing to materialise, however this is promising to hear from the trusted North East correspondent from the Times.
Whether we get them done in time is another matter, but it seems Benitez is pushing hard to get a few deals secured before tonight’s 11pm deadline:
Rafa Benitez still trying to push through a couple of loan deals today: one from the PL, one abroad. Newcastle taking it to the wire …

I have little faith in Ashley and Charnley, but you can bet your bottom dollar that Benitez is working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this happen – even though he has a HUGE game to prepare for tonight at home to Burnley!
Here’s hoping for some good news soon! We NEED it.
Not sure why you call him the ‘trusted reporter’. How many times has this fella fed us a load of ****?
