After completing deadline day loan moves away from St James’ Park, we’ve take a look at Fulham and Nottingham fans’ reactions to the debuts of Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham) and Jack Colback (Forest – with the pair facing up against each other as the two sides met at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Mitrovic’s Fulham ran out 2-0 winners, however it appeared that both sets of fans were impressed by the NUFC loanees, with us finding several positive comments praising their performances in the game.
Colback played the full 90 in central midfield, whilst Mitrovic came on from the bench in the 55th minute to give the home supporters their first glance of the Serbian in action.
Aleksandar Mitrovic
Starting with Mitrovic, here’s what Fulham fans had to say about his 35 minutes on the pitch:

Very glad to get Mitrovic on board at #FFC but still scratching my head as to why Benitez doesn't think he could use him at #NUFC. In the time he had yesterday he caused havoc & im sure he'd have the same affect if playing for Newcastle. He gives @Jokanovic a new, useful option.

Well Mitrović is a solid-looking lad, isn’t he? #ffc

Mitrovic, his shirt covered in mud, heads over to the Fulham fans to applaud them. He looked like he bloody loved being out playing again. Could be a season-changing signing

Mitrovic has been great since he came on, really looked a handful and nearly got his debut goal.
Give it a few weeks so he's fully fit, and we've got the missing jigsaw piece.
Exciting times for #FFC@marcusbettss double save just as important as a goal!

Targett looked decent . Mitrovic looks like he needs a few games to get match fit , but is a real handful . Put in a good shift #ffc

Mitrovic opening his account… not yet. #FFCvNFFC #FFC #FulhamFC pic.twitter.com/5vki0BeUFE

As you can see, they clearly liked what they saw! He very nearly scored on his debut too!
Jack Colback
Now to Colback, with Forest fans also seeming to really like what they saw from the NUFC outcast:
Can't wait to see colback In the holding role behind a centre pairing of adlene and Watson … colback looked a different level sat #nffc

What a tidy player Jack Colback is. Just does everything simple with no pressure.. reminds me of a young vaughany!! #nffc

Impressed with Colback, @AdleneGUEDIOURA & @Leetomlin10 today, deserved something from the game, play like that and take our chances we’ll get back to winning ways! ??⚪️ #NFFC

#nffc were unlucky yesterday, matched Fulham for the whole game just two individual mistakes cost us. Colback was solid and Tomlin looked good when he came on. Can’t remember the last time we had someone on the bench who can change a game
— Jack (@JaackB95) February 4, 2018
Looked better with Tomlin on the pitch than Dowell. He's been shocking for a good few weeks now in all honesty. Colback was very good, Cash his usual self. Brereton struggled. #nffc

Result didn't reflect the game. Home support only turned up when they scored. Colback was solid. Great to see Adlene back. 18,000 Fulham supporters should be ashamed, out sung from kickoff to 67 mins then from 68th min to the 90th? #FutureLooksRed #nffc

Solid 1st half, ok 2nd half. 2 individual errors cost us 2 goals. Good debut from Colbeck & Tomlin looks assured on the ball. Geddy is Geddy – sometimes that’s a good thing, sometimes it isn’t. Let’s be under no illusion, Fulham are good.
