Blackburn fans reveal very interesting verdict on Adam Armstrong following his stunning rise to form

After bagging 4 goals in his last 3 games, it’s fair to say Adam Armstrong has found form following his loan move to Blackburn last month – and Rovers fans have had a thing or two to say about the NUFC loanee after his superb rise to form at Ewood Park.

He’s scored 4 goals in 9 days, sending Tony Mowbray’s side to the top of League One with a goal at Oldham, a brace at Portsmouth and another on Monday to seal a 2-0 win over Bury in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

As a result, we took to social media to see what Rovers fans made of the NUFC loanee and what they had to say sounded promising to say the least, with several praising his pace, attacking awareness, finishing and work rate.

Heres’ a few comments we took from Blackburn fans on Twitter:

“He’s a great player, lightning quick & great skill, I’m glad to see him getting the goals now aswell, I’d take him permanently”

“Wasted on the wings – his development has probably stalled due to playing him out of position. Most definitely better down the middle. Predator.”

“A quality player. His core pace is something you don’t see too often and coupled with his finishing and attacking awareness, he’s began giving us vital goals – exactly what we signed him for!”

“110% effort every game. Good first touch. Great finisher. All round tidy player.”

“Armstrong was terrific. Looks so much better through the middle, has pace to burn and terrific effort levels”

“What a player Armstrong is. He’s gonna put plenty away for us!”

“Armstrong MOTM for me; everything good came through him. He used his speed well, he showed some great touches, he won headers, he ran at defenders; he was just a constant threat all night. Trust me, this lad’s gonna be good.”

Fair to say they rate him highly, with some even demanding that the club pull out all the stop to secure him on a permanent deal in the summer!

Newcastle fans may worry that he’s simply found his level at League One, however I’d like to see us continue to give him game time away from St James’ Park before acting too hastily.

He’ll need to start scoring goals in the Championship if he’s to convince Rafa Benitez of his top flight potential, but he’s still just 21 and could yet make it with the right management.
