Former NUFC defender Steven Taylor has made the headlines for his role in Peterborough’s 2-1 win over Walsall on Tuesday night – with him running onto the pitch to help sweep away the snow after the referee deemed the pitch unplayable!
The centre-back signed for Peterborough last summer after unsuccessful spells in America and in the Championship with Ipswich, and this may just be his finest moment for the Posh, helping preserve their lead in a way only he knows how.
The League One side were leading 2-1 against Walsall at the ABAX Stadium, however the game was put in jeopardy when the referee decided to stop play.
Taylor then took matters into his own hands, however, running onto the pitch to help the groundsmen clear away the snow!
Perhaps one of the most Steven Taylor things you are ever likely to see:
"It's a bit like the Winter Olympics isn't it!" ❄?
