NUFC loanee Adam Armstrong has been rewarded for his superb run of form with Blackburn, winning the club’s player of the month award for February after bagging 4 goals and 2 assists in League One last month.
The 21-year-old forward returned to Tyneside in the new year after struggling for regular game time with Championship strugglers Bolton, however he’s lead Blackburn to the top of League One with some superb performances since being reunited with Tony Mowbray.
The striker has scored 4 and assisted twice in his last five starts, with the clip below showing his brace at Portsmouth which helped Rovers to a 2-1 win at Fratton Park:

It may be the third tier of English football, but it’s great to see Armstrong performing and getting a regular run in their side.
There’ll come a point where he’ll have to prove himself in the Championship if Benitez is ever going believe he’s good enough for the top flight, however he’s a talent worth persevering with.
