Several Newcastle fans haven’t taken too well to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s latest comments during his loan spell at Fulham, with the striker having claimed that the team had become ‘too tactical’ for his liking.
Obviously Mitro is loving life at Fulham, and good on him for finding the net in his last three games, but I can see why a few fans found it a bit rich of him to describe Rafa’s title winning Championship team as a little too tactical.
Yes he may prefer the flowing and possession based football at Fulham, however there’s several NUFC supporters who’re now questioning whether he felt incapable of following Rafa’s instructions as a result of his comments.
Here’s some intriguing reactions from Newcastle fans on Twitter:
That gives me the impression he isn't too bright and is unable to follow a plan or instructions.

Translated – “I couldn’t be ****** to do what I was told by a manager who’s forgotten more about the game than I’ll ever know…” #nufc https://t.co/leGxSDKvac

Mitrovic is a joke, saying that NUFC are ‘too tactical’… more like he couldnt be arsed to follow instructions his manager gave him. Don’t need players like that, will personally be glad to see the back of him ?

He’s been full of praise for Fulham since arriving, praising their attacking play and ability to play to his strengths (unlike NUFC), but perhaps his subtle criticism of Rafa’s tactics instead just highlight how he wasn’t quite disciplined enough to follow them?
