Exciting news arrives for NUFC fans ahead of our crucial clash with Southampton at St James’ Park

Some great news ahead of Saturday’s six-pointer with Southampton this weekend, with the Chronicle confirming that Wor Flags will be back in full force for the game after ‘constructive talks’ – and they’re planning to do one of their biggest yet.

The work by all involved in the Gallowgate this season has been nothing short of sensational, with their efforts having a big impact on the feel-good factor and positive atmosphere around St James’ Park – not forgetting what a great spectacle their displays have created.

It was noted that nothing was on display during our last game against Man Utd, with a controversial quote from Kevin Keegan being displayed last time out in the home draw with Burnley on transfer deadline day, however ‘constructive talks’ have taken place between the club and Wor Flags, meaning we’ll be seeing them back in full force on Saturday.

Ahead of their return and tomorrow’s huge encounter with relegation rivals Southampton, here’s what a spokesman from Wor Flags has had to say to the Chronicle:

“We had really constructive talks with the club and we’re delighted that we’ve got a display on Saturday. It will be one of our biggest yet.

“The whole idea of the group is to improve the atmosphere and make it a positive atmosphere for the players to play in because that is clearly helpful to the team and what Rafa Benitez is trying to do.”

Exciting to here it will be one of their biggest displays yet and rightly so – this is a massive game for us and perhaps our biggest of the season so far.

Win and we’ll move 4 points clear of them. Lose and we’ll be 2 points behind and in the relegation zone.

Howay the lads!
