TalkSPORT name the NUFC man they claim to be our 'most overrated player' - strange choice
TalkSPORT have released a piece looking at each Premier League team's most overrated player, naming Dwight Gayle as that man at NUFC - a strange choice given he is one of the last players to be overhyped on Tyneside.
The Newcastle number 9 may have bagged an impressive 23 goals in the Championship last season, but it's not as if the St James' Park crowd were expecting him to get anywhere near that number in the top flight - as his 5 goals this season have suggested.
You just need to look at fans plea to sign a new striker both last summer and this January to realise that we were under no illusions as to how well he fare in the Premier League

We are quite aware of his limitations, and whilst he may be our 'danger man' in front of goal, the only reason he's given that tag at NUFC is due to him being one of the few strikers at our club who have any sort of track record of finding the net.
