Why Mo Diame’s incredible turnaround should send a strong warning to all NUFC fans

One thing I hope some of us NUFC fans can learn from the last few months is to never write a player off when they’re struggling – the case in point here being the incredible rise of Mo Diame from zero to hero over the past few months.

The former Senegalese international was sarcastically cheered off in the 1-0 defeat to Everton at St James’ Park in December and one of the first players many wanted to see sold in January.
In fairness, he had been woeful, but what has gone on to happen next just proves why we must get behind all of our lads for as long as they’re playing in black and white.

A few months on & he’s been absolutely PIVOTAL to our survivaland  easily our best player of 2018.

It’s been a team effort and so many others have upped their game recently too, but big Mo’s turnaround has been nothing short of sensational!

He’s gone from a poor mans Amdy Faye to the second coming of Patrick Viera!

  1. Diame’s about a couple of months into ‘Goliath’ form just bullying all teams out of midfield domination. Exactly like Newkie says, Perez is about three weeks into being the player that first arrived. With a bit more nous he’s starting to look a proppa player as well.
