Some worrying stuff from Sky Sports News today, reporting that PSG, Bayern Munich and ‘a number of Premier League clubs‘ are tracking impressive Chelsea loanee Kenedy – the man we’re hoping to see Newcastle sign permanently this summer.
The 22-year-old has been outstanding since arriving on loan in January, scoring twice and assisting three, showing real quality on the ball and impressive flashes of brilliance.
He was brilliant once again at Leicester, but there was always a fear that the more he impressed, the more unlikely it may seem that we are able to sign him permanently in the summer – even if we have Rafa and new owners by then.
It’s early days, but Sky Sports now claim that Bayern, PSG and several Premier League clubs have asked to be kept informed should Chelsea be willing to sell him in the coming months:

“Bayern Munich, Paris St Germain and a number of English clubs have asked to be kept informed if Kenedy is ever made available for sale.
“The Brazilian winger has made a huge impact at St James’ Park since arriving from Chelsea on loan in January, with Newcastle fans hoping he can be signed on a permanent basis.
“But Sky Sports News understands Bayern and PSG have both asked to be kept aware of any developments if Chelsea agree to let him go – although no bids have been tabled to date.”
Concerning news, but it’s early days with Kenedy. He’s looked brilliant, but we can’t forget that he was seen as a raw, temperamental Chelsea prospect just a few months ago.
I’d love to sign him, but this can’t do our chances of that any good. Even if PSG or Bayern don’t end up making a move, things like this will only hike up his potential price tag – something I think Ashley would more than likely refuse to pay as it is..
