With the Mackems plummeting towards League One, former NUFC full-back Olivier Bernard has showed little sympathy, posting an amusing video on Twitter to mock Sunderland’s seemingly imminent relegation from the Championship.
As we all know, our North-East neighbours looks set to endure a second straight relegation, with them sitting in second bottom and 7 points from safety with just 5 games to go.
It was starting to look like the great escape could be on just over a week ago, with a shock 4-1 win at promotion chasing Derby giving them renewed belief, however a home 1-3 home defeat to Sheffield Wednesday followed by them surrendering a 1-0 lead at Leeds at the weekend has seen any slim hopes fade.
To make matters worse, former NUFC defender Olivier Bernard has posted the following video on his Twitter account:

He apologises in his post, but I’m not sure he’s got anything to be sorry about! Brilliant work from the Frenchman who clearly hasn’t forgot about his former rivals!
